In their second knock, Karnataka helped themselves to 245 for five in just 59 overs as Stuart Binny slammed a quick-fire 114 (99b, 11×4, 5×6) after opener Lokesh Rahul had made 47. Also amongst runs was C Gautam (51, 113b, 9×4), but by then draw was the only possible outcome of the four-day game that was affected by rains and bad light Saturday.

Gujarat thus took their tally to 13 points from two matches while Karnataka inched to four after two outings.
