Kedar Jadhav led the way with an unbeaten 97 as Maharashtra made a strong reply to be well- placed at 196 for 3 in their Group C Ranji Trophy match against Andhra Pradesh.

 

Resuming at an overnight 232 for 3, Andhra somewhat lost the plot to be bowled out for 317 in their first innings at the YS Raja Reddy Stadium. Dominic Joseph and Anupam Sanklecha picked up three wickets each for the visitors.

 

In reply, Maharashtra looked positive despite losing two wickets early. Vijay Zol made 73 off 137 balls with the 12 fours while Jadhav hit 14 fours and a six. At stumps on the second day, Maharashtra trailed Andhra by 121 runs with seven wickets remaining.
