Having elected to bowl in their Ranji Trophy quarter-final encounter against Mumbai, Maharashtra have reduced the hosts to 92 for the loss of three wickets by the end of the first session.
Utilising the early morning moisture in the wicket, Rohit Motwani‘s bolwers responded to his decision to field first by snapping three important wickets in the first session , going into lunch on Day One of the encounter.
Mumbai lost their batting mainstay, Wasim Jaffer right at the stroke of lunch, when he was batting on 44. He lost his wicket to Shrikant Mundhe. Making comeback into the Mumbai team, Vinit Indulkar is still batting on 21 not out.
