Jammu and Kashmir finished Day One placed precariously at 274 for eight thanks to a resilient hundred by Parvez Rasool. His was the innings that stood out ona day when other batsmen threw starts or failed to get started at all. No other batsman even reached fifty although Adil Reshi and Ian Chauhan got into their forties before throwing away starts. The rest of the batting was no show which makes Rasool’s hundred that much more special. In the bowling department, Rishi Dhawan was the most expensive, but also picked three wickets.
