Rajasthan have reached a total of 249 for the loss of five wickets at stumps on Day 1 of the Round 5 encounter of the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 edition against Odisha. Rajasthan have played well in the game as SF Khan and Chetan Bist have looked good and remained unbeaten at the end of the day. Odisha won the toss and elected to field first on a surface which looked conducive for bowling. Their bowlers did well to chip early wickets as each one of them had a wicket each to their name. Their batsmen got decent starts but failed to convert it into a big score. Amitkumar Gautam fell early Deepak Behera got the better of him early on in the innings. Manender Singh looked good with the bat but floundered for 36 as Govinda Poddar scalped his wicket. Pranay Sharma played well for his 31 but Alok Mangaraj got the better of him. Ashok Menaria looked good but Dhiraj Singh removed him for 41.Mahipal Lomror was also dismissed for 38 by Mahipal Lomror. SF Khan scored a fifty and has dine well to remain unbeaten at stumps. Chetan Bist has also played well so far for his 20 and will have a task in hand to get massive runs on the board on Day 2. Odisha bowlers have done well so far and early wickets is what they will be looking on Day 2.
