Haryana hold slight advantage over Services in the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 Group C match at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Haryana bowled out Services for 197 and finished Day Two on 117 for 3, all 3 wickets falling to debutant left-arm spinner Vikas Yadav. At this stage they trail by 80, which will make Saturday s cricket interesting. Earlier, just like on Day One, a wet outfield ruled out any cricket in the first session of Friday. Services resumed on 143 for 6 and reached 166 for 6 before being reduced to 169 for 9 and adding another 28 for the last wicket. Standing tall amidst all this was No. 6 Shamsher Yadav, who remained unbeaten in the end with 29 (72 balls, 3 fours, 1 six). Rajat Paliwal took 3 for 14 with his occasional off-breaks, while regular bowlers Yuzvendra Chahal (2 for 41) and Harshal Patel (2 for 47) shared another 4.

Shubham Rohilla and wicketkeeper Nitin Saini added 52 for the opening stand, but Yadav kept on striking at regular intervals, dismissing Saini, Chaitanya Bishnoi, and Himanshu Rana. Rohilla remained unbeaten at stumps on 62 (106 balls, 9 fours) while Yadav finished the day on 3 for 31.
