Team Rajasthan and Saurashtra match finally took place towards the end of the day after continuous rains, helping Rajasthan put up total of 62 for 1 at the end of Day 3 play of Ranji Trophy 2016-17 at Vizianagaram. Saurashtra were at the top with their innings of 430 with Jaydev Shah s brilliant 193 along with Sheldon Jackson 76, that built the mammoth score on board. All the other batsmen were gone for decimal scores but that century from Shah was enough to keep Saurashtra at the top. Nathu Singh and Aniket Choudhary had taken two wickets apiece while Kukna Ajay Singh also got most of the wickets for Rajasthan. ALSO READ: Saurashtra put up 430 against Rajasthan on rain-hit day

On Day 2, Saurasthra were led by captain Shah, who blasted 193 with 36 fours. He was aided by Jackson (76 in 95 balls, 10 fours, 2 sixes) yesterday. The score read 30 for 3 when Shah had walked out. He scored 193 out of 353 during his stay at the crease, and found support from Samarth Vyas and Chirag Jani as he kept amassing runs throughout another rain-curtailed day. Saurashtra batted a mere 42 overs on Friday, but that did not stop them from adding 161 to their total, a substantial chunk of which came from Shah s bat.
