Services were bowled out for 446 on Day Three, following which Andhra were off to a confident start. Andhra have managed to put up 177 on board for the loss of a solitary wicket in Round 5 of Ranji Trophy 2016-17. Andhra lost (at least temporarily) captain Hanuma Vihari, who was retired hurt at 18, while Srikar Bharat was dismissed for 42 early in the innings. Prasanth Kumar led the charge, and is batting on 90 at stumps, while No. 4 Koripalli Sreekanth is on 24. Left-arm Vikas Yadav has bagged the only wicket for Services. Earlier in the day, Rahul Singh and Diwesh Pathania had resumed the Services innings at 400 for 8. Rahul got to his hundred soon afterwards, and by the time Pathania fell for 18, the pair had already put up 50. Sachidanand Pandey hung around, helping Rahul add another 18 as Services finished on 446. Rahul remained unbeaten on 127, scored off 182 balls. CV Stephen (3 for 87) and Ravi Teja (3 for 25) were the main wicket-takers, while Bhargav Bhatt toiled hard to keep the Services run-scoring in check, sending down 69 overs for his 2 for 136.

Services are currently at the bottom of the Group C table as they failed to win any matches in the tournament this season. Andhra are currently at the second spot with two victories from four matches.
