The Day Three of Round 6 clash of the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 match between Hyderabad and Services ended with Services posting a total of 360 for the loss of 9 wickets as they are following the total of 580 runs posted by Hyderabad in the first innings. Shamsher Yadav for Services scored a brilliant knock of 104 runs from 196 balls to help his team reach the border of 400 runs. Nakul Verma the Services opener also scored valuable 90 runs in the starting period of the match to give his team a good start as they were chasing a big total. Initially, Services won the toss and decided to bowl first as they thought the wicket would assist the bowlers in the starting stage of the game. But an unbeaten knock of 203 runs from 332 balls by Bavanaka Sandeep ensured that Hyderabad reached a big total in their first innings. But it was Chama Milind who walked in at No. 9 position and scored a brilliant century of 136 runs from 208 balls which ensured that his side reached almost the total of 600. Raushan Raj was the best bowler for Services in the first innings as he got his five-for and finished with the figures of 5 for 73.

Services have batted well in their first innings even though they are still trailing Hyderabad by 220 runs with just a wicket in hand. Barring Yadav and Verma none other batsmen could do much with the bat except for Rahul Singh who scored 49. With just the last day left of this contest, this match is definitely moving towards a draw.
