In the Round 6 clash of the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 clash between Karnataka and Rajasthan, Rajasthan are in a very fragile stage as they have scored just 118 runs for the loss of 6 wickets are on course to lose this match as they still require 407 runs with just 4 wickets in hand. R Vinay Kumar has been the star bowler for Karnataka as he has picked up 3 wickets for just 45 runs which tightened the screws on the opposition team. Initially, Karnataka won the toss and opted to bat first and posted a challenging total of 374 runs thanks to an 81 runs knock from Mayank Agrawal and 76 runs from opener KL Rahul. For Rajasthan, Tanvir Mashart Ul-Haq recorded his five-for in the first innings as he finished with the figures of 5 for 82. Following the total of 374 runs set by Karnataka, Rajasthan were bowled out for just 148 which handed their opposition a dominating lead of 226 for the second innings. Rajesh Bishnoi took 4 wickets for Rajasthan in the second innings while giving just 87 runs. With Rajasthan still requiring more 407 runs with just 4 wickets in hand, this match is completely in the hands of Karnataka who have a whole day in their hand to get the 4 remaining wickets and seal a comprehensive victory.
