The action packed encounter between Chattisgarh and Kerala has surprisingly ended in a draw as Chhattisgarh ended their day at 249 for the loss of six wickets while chasing 328 runs in the second innings. Kerala posted 207 runs on the board in the first innings as Sumit Ruikar, Pankaj Rao ran through their batting and claimed five and three wickets respectively. Rohan Prem got a fifty along with some contributions from his teammates. In response, Chhattisgarh were bowled out for 187 Karaparambil had four wickets to his name while Iqbal Abdulla and Jalaj Saxena had three and two wickets respectively. Kerala came out hard in the second innings as Rohan Prem remained unbeaten on 123 while Sachin Baby also had 70 runs to his name. Kerala declared their innings for 307 for the loss of two wickets. Chhattisgarh bowlers struggled to get wickets and they had a target of 328 runs to be chased down. They started off well as Sahil Gupta got the ball rolling at the top and remained unbeaten on 123 at stumps his side were placed at 249 for the loss of six wickets. Ashutosh Singh also got some valuable runs as the game ended in a draw.

Jalaj Saxena, Iqbal Abdulla were once again among the wickets as they had couple each. Kerala gets three points from this encounter while Chhattisgarh only manages a solitary one. Some good cricket were witnessed and a result looked on the cards but it wasn t to be.
