Ishant Sharma, Pawan Suyal and Manan Sharma picked up a wicket apiece. On Day One, four wickets from Sreenath Aravind and three from K Gowtham had dismissed for Delhi for 90. Skipper Gautam Gambhir fell cheaply for just 2 and only three players reached double figures. Delhi wil have to bat extremely well, if they are to avoid innings defeat on Day Three. They need to score 324 or more to make Karnataka bat again. Karnataka are without their regular skipper Vinay Kumar, who was ruled out of the contest due to an injury. Karnataka secured a draw in their first game of the season against Jharkhand before this.

It was Karnataka, who had won the toss and elected to field first. They are in a commanding position in this match and would want to wrap this match up with one day to spare.
