Himachal Pradesh settled for a steady draw against Tripura, on Day 4 of Round 3 of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2016-17 at the Bengal Cricket Academy Ground on Sunday. Tripura scored a mammoth total of 549, while HP were bundled for 311 in the first innings, as Tripura award3d a follow-on, while HP put up an improved performance and scored 349 for the loss of five wickets, until Day 4, as the match was settled for a draw. From Tripura, it was Bishal Ghosh and Smit Patel, who scored 146, and 11, respectively to guide them to the mammoth total, while for HP, it was Robin Bist in the first innings, who was the highest scorer with 88 runs, and in the second innings, it was Ankush Bains, who scored 113. HP’s Mayank Dagar claimed five wickets, while Tripura’s Rana Dutta claimed sic wickets in the first innings, followed by Gurinder Singh in the second innings, who claimed four wickets. However, they couldn t last long as Dutta s horrific spell bowled them out for 311.
