Baroda won by 21 runs against Bengal in the Round 7 of the Ranji Trophy 2016-17. Bengal were asked to chase a target of 155 runs, but their entire team was bowled out for 133 as Baroda skipper Babashafi Pathan took 3 wickets in the second innings to take the charge of the match in their hands. Babashafi finished with the figures of 3 for 34 in the second innings and was well associated by Atit Seth who took 3 wickets for 58 runs. Initially, Bengal won the toss and opted to field and bowled out Baroda for just 97 runs in the first innings.
