Vidarbha batting suffered a batting collapse on Day Three to be bundled out for 347 runs in their first innings against Saurashtra s total of 301 runs. Both teams are playing their Ranji Trophy 2016-17, Round 7 tie at Karnail Singh Stadium in Delhi. Vandit Jivrajani came into his own on picking up as many as 3 wickets to help his side stay in the game. Overnight batsmen Shalabh Srivastava and Jitesh Sharma added just 22 runs before the former fell to Jaydev Unadkat for a 85-ball 37. Jivrajani rocked the Vidarbha middle order nabbing 3 quick wickets in a space of few overs. Akshay Karnewar became his second victim, getting bowled for 21. Jivrajni struck soon as Jitesh was out leg-before for 49. Jivrajani was again into action getting Shrikant Wagh for 0. With a deficit of just 46 to take over, Saurashtra did not start well losing Amitoze Singh for just 5. Snell Patel who stared with the bat in the first innings again showed his batting prowess guiding his team to safety. Snell along with Samarth Vyas added 62 for the second wicket. Wakhare got his fist wicket of this innings int he form of Vyas, who got cleaned up for a 71-ball 23. Snell and Jivrajni remained not-out on 60 and 0 respectively at stumps with Saurashtra at 92 for 2, leading Vidarbha by 46 runs.

Saurashtra, being put to bat first, were bundled out for 301 on Day One. Sheldon Jackson s century kept Saurashtra ahead throughout with his knock of 116, along with Chirag Jani who reached his fifty. Rajnessh Gurbani took maximum wickets for Vidarbha ending with figures of 4 for 85.
