Delhi reached a total of 250 for the loss of 8 wickets, leading Vidarbha by 67 runs with 2 wickets in hand at stumps, on Day Two of the Round 8 of the Ranji Trophy 2016-17. The Delhi versus Vidarbha clash is being played at the Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering Ground, Chennai. Manan Sharma is currently at the crease on 82 not out from 119 deliveries with Vikas Tokas, who is playing on 28 runs from 88 balls. Earlier on Day One, Shalabh Shrivastava (62) and Shrikant Wagh (46*) helped Vidarbha post a total of 183 runs before the Delhi pacers bundled up the Vidarbha side. Sumit Narwal took 4 wickets for 38 runs and Navdeep Saini took 3 wickets for 30. Delhi started off their day from the overnight score of 12 runs for the loss of 1 wicket as they lost their opener Shikhar Dhawan for a personal score of 6. They lost their night-watchman Pradeep Sangwan (4) and  No. 4 Unmukt Chand (0) quickly. Soon, they also lost their skipper Gautam Gambhir which led the Delhi losing 4 wickets with just 46 runs on the board.

Rishabh Pant (29), Nitish Rana (27) and Milind Kumar (37) got a good start but could not convert their innings to big scores. It was Manan at No. 8 who stabilised the innings along with Tokas. Manan is unbeaten on 82 from 119 deliveries laced with 9 boundaries and 1 six while Tokas has played a patient innings of 28 runs from 88 balls and has hit boundaries.
