Madhya Pradesh vs Baroda

Responding to Madhya Pradesh s massive 551 for 8, Baroda stuttered to 36 for 2 at stumps on Day 2 of this Group C tie at Indore. Madhya Pradesh, who had finished at 268 for 5 on Day One, lost their skipper Devendra Bundela for 99.

It was the Sharma show from start of the Day 2. No.6 batsman Shubham Sharma and star all-rounder Ankit Sharma added 198 for the sixth wicket. Shubham missed what could have been his maiden double-ton by 4 runs while Ankit got his first First-Class hundred.

Both batsmen were dismissed by spinner Swapnail Singh who ended up with 3 scalps. The Pathan brothers failed to make any impact. Baroda lost the wickets of Aditya Bagmode and Dhiren Mistry for 0 and 1 respectively. They were reduced to 5 for 2 by the opening pacers Ishwar Pandey and Puneet Datey before they managed to recover.

Tamil Nadu vs Andhra

Despite the heavyweights turning up for Tamil Nadu, the hosts continued to slip against neighbours Andhra at Chennai. Andhra finished with 231 for 7 before Day Two stumps after bowling out Tamil Nadu for 176.

Andhra did not have a great start. They were 64 for 5 before half centuries from B Sumanth and K Ashwin Hebbar guided them to a first-innings lead. Ravichandran Ashwin got the key wickets of KS Bharat and the experienced Y Vennugopal Rao.
