At Porvorim: After a draw and a defeat in their first two games, Punjab found their lost mojo in the third. They trounced Goa by an innings and 133 runs. With this win, Punjab have leapfrogged to the second position of Group D, with 8 points. Goa, on the other hand, remain on 2 points off 3 games.

Starting their day at 67 for 2, none of the Goa batsmen could stand up to the Punjab bowlers. From 84 for 2 they collapsed to 122 for 8. Darshal Misal top-scored with an unbeaten 64, but the only support he received was from No. 11 Rituraj Singh (51). Eventually, Punjab bundled Goa for 256 as Vinay Choudhary and Raghu Sharma shared 6 wickets between them. It was Punjab s first outright defeat of the season.

At New Delhi (Karnail Singh Stadium): Himachal secured the first outright win of this season trumping Services by 98 runs. In the previous game Himachal had taken a first-innings lead.

Services were hit by Gurvinder Singh, who wrapped them up for 228. Gurvinder claimed career-best figures of 6 for 52. He also achieved his maiden 10-wicket haul. The win has taken Himachal to the top of Group D.

Services had lost half of their side inside 46 overs, beginning the day at 28 for 1 in pursuit of 326. Opener Ravi Chauhan held fort until the 72th over, when he was scalped for 97. Then the floodgates opened. Nobody else went past thirty, and Services lost by plenty.

At Nagpur: Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh played a high-scoring draw after Chhattisgarh secured a first-innings lead on Day Three. Vidarbha started the day 331 for 6. A first-innings lead was the only thing up for grabs: Vidarbha fell short by 54 runs. Chhattisgarh batted out for the rest of the day and finished at 195 for 9. Jatin Saxena top-scored with 75 as Umesh Yadav (3 for 50) and Akshay Karnewar (3 for 43) got most of the wickets.
