India veteran allrounder Yuvraj Singh will play his first Ranji Trophy 2018-19 match this season for Punjab in their Round Four match against Delhi which begins on Wednesday at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

According to a report in Sportsstar Live on Monday, Yuvraj turned up at the Punjab net session on Monday and was showed no signs of rustiness. Punjab, who ended up conceding first-innings leads in their previous matches against Andhra and Madhya Pradesh, have received a timely boost in Yuvi’s inclusion.

However, the side will be without the services of young Shubman Gill, who registered consecutive fifties in both the innings against Andhra. The 19-year-old Gill will join the touring India A squad in New Zealand.

Yuvraj, meanwhile, will also play the next two matches against Himachal Pradesh (December 6-9) and Tamil Nadu (December 14-17) in Mohali.
