Ravichandran Ashwin floors Twitter trolls over his selection in Indian team ahead of New Zealand series

With the Indian squad for Test series against New Zealand at home being announced, fans are once again active on social media, either to praise or troll the selected players. In fact, most of the fans were on trolling mode and one of them took the dare to troll India’s ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. The Indian spinner, also part of the selected team, is probably best among the current Indian cricketers when it comes to answer the trolls on social media. Ashwin has a knack of answering them with his intelligence and sense of humour.

After the news of Indian squad for the Test series came, one of the fan expressed his disappointment over Ashwin’s selection in the side and indirectly said that he is not a good spinner.

Social media has become a medium for anyone to say whatever they feel but any cricket fan should not get into a war of words with Ashwin because he will surely give it back to that person. Also, for those who do not know much about Ashwin’s achievements in his career, one should remember that he is among the top three spinners across the globe in every format since 2010 — the year in which he made his debut. Since 2010, he has taken 193 wickets in Tests, 142 in ODIs and 52 in T20Is at 25.20, 31.73 and 22.19 in the respective formats of the game, which speaks about his ability as a player. Ashwin did not stop there, as there was another similar instance of him trolling a fan on his official Twitter timeline but this time, it was neither related to cricket nor him. Infact, it was related the Indian Paralympians winning medals at Rio Paralympics 2016. It started with Ashwin’s tweet in which he praised exceptionally talented athletes of the nation after their impressive performance at Rio Paralympics 2016.

Once again, a fan, probably a Pakistani, responded him on that tweet and he probably turned on his Piers Morgan mode while answering to Ashwin’s tweet as it involved criticism.
