Indian team manager Sunil Dev has played down rumours of India calling off the tour due to Ravindra Jadeja-James Anderson controversy and also stated that India have put behind the entire fiasco.
âNot at all â I donât have any idea on that,â Dev was quoted as saying by The Guardian when questioned about India calling off the tour. The report adds that India are not planning to make any official statement on the final verdict until MS Dhoni addresses a press conference ahead of the fourth Test at Old Trafoord.
According to sources quoted in the report, Gordn Lewis who conducted the hearing was surprised that India were emphasising the sledging from Anderson because the Level three offence dealt with physical contact as complained by the Indian team. It was Dev who lodged the complaint first after insistence from the skipper Dhoni.
