The Indian team has won the right to appeal against the penalty imposed on Ravindra Jadeja by International Cricket Council (ICC). Jadeja was found guilty of a level-one offence and 50% match fee fine was imposed on him by David Boon.

MS Dhoni had publicly criticised the fine and said that it was hurtful. However, ICC released a statement shortly after asking everyone to comply with their judgments.

Anderson, too has been charged with a Level 3 offence and is likely to face a four-match ban on a hearing that will take place on Friday, August 1. The alleged incident happened in the first Test match at Trent Bridge.
