St Lucia Kings continued their strong run in CPL 2025 with a dominant seven-wicket win over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The Kings chased down 178 inside 17 overs, a result that took them to the top of the table with eight points from six matches. The Patriots, meanwhile, slipped to fifth with only four points from seven games.

Chasing 178, the St Lucia Kings were in control from the start thanks to a blazing opening stand. Johnson Charles smashed 47 off just 17 balls, while Tim Seifert scored a fluent 68 from 45. Their 115-run partnership in only 62 deliveries left the Nevis Patriots struggling.

After their dismissal, Roston Chase (15) and Tim David (16) calmly finished the job, sealing the win with 18 balls to spare.

Tabraiz Shamsi Shines With the Ball

Earlier, the Patriots were put in to bat by Kings skipper David Wiese. They managed 57 for 1 on the powerplay, with Andre Fletcher showing some intent. But Tabraiz Shamsi struck at the right time, dismissing Fletcher for 37. His superb spell of 2 for 17 earned him the Player of the Match award.

Mohammad Rizwan Holds Patriots’ Innings Together

Mohammad Rizwan was the standout performer for the Patriots, anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 60 off 41 balls. He added 71 runs with Kyle Mayers (27) and later shared an unbeaten 37-run stand with Jason Holder (21*). Despite Rizwan’s effort, the Patriots finished on 177 for 3—well short of what was needed.

Kings Go Top of the Table

With this emphatic victory, the Kings once again underlined the firepower of their batting lineup. The Patriots, on the other hand, were left with more questions than answers as they continue to struggle for momentum in CPL 2025.
