Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have faced a massive shock, as the team’s star spinner Shreyanka Patil got ruled out of the Women’s Premier League 2025 due to an injury. It has come out that all-rounder Sneh Rana has joined the squad, and is with the team since the past few days.

Shreyanka appeared in the pre-tournament videos posted by RCB, but her not being present in the clash against Gujarat giants (GG) on Friday, February 14, raised concerns about her availability. Then she made a social media post, giving out a hint of some difficulties that she has been facing, which has now been confirmed as an injury.

Shreyanka had caused chaos in the last season of WPL, where her team eventually lifted the title. She had taken four massive wickets in the final against Delhi Capitals. However, her recent outings have been filled with injuries. She had to miss a fair share of matches in the last WPL due to a finger injury, and was also suffering an injury during Women’s Asia Cup match against Pakistan.

Along with that, RCB is continuously facing a list of injuries. The team’s spin bowling has significantly weakened as Shreyanka, Sophie Molineux and Asha Sobhana are absent from the squad. Notably, both Kate Cross and Sophie Devine withdrew from the squad, leaving Prema Rataw, Georgia wareham, Charlie Dean, and Kanika Ahuja as the remaining spinners other than the absent ones.
