West Indies team manager Richie Richardson in Wednesday, inspected the Green Park stadium which is in contention to host third One-day International of the upcoming series against India.

Richardson was accompanied by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla and other functionaries of the state cricket association, besides the Uttar Pradesh government officials.

During his 45 minute stay at the venue, Richardson took stock of the ground, players’ dressing room and the VIP Pavilion.

Richardson did not speak to the media about his assessment of the facilities.

Later, Shukla told reporters that Richardson would be giving his report to his board, and any decision on the hosting of the match will be taken after that.

The final encounter of the three-match ODI series is to be hosted by either Kanpur or Baroda.
