Amid the 21-day lockdown, India opener Rohit Sharma is making the most of his free time during self-isolation by chatting up with friends. After catching up with Jasprit Bumrah in an interesting Instagram Live session, on Tuesday, he had a long chat with former cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who compared social distancing to voting and spoke of the Indian dressing room, then and now.

During the same chat, Rohit said that it is unfair that wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant faces so much media criticism and revealed he spends most of his time with the young wicketkeeper.

“Media should think before writing something,” he said.

He also said that fans criticise players so much without realising that they are giving their best and no one likes losing.

Rohit, who slammed five centuries last year during the World Cup in England, also recalled the reception he got when he entered the team bus for the first time and unknowingly occupied Yuvraj’s seat.

The Indian opener also took a hilarious jibe at Yuzvendra Chahal over his latest TikTok videos.

Not long ago, Yuvraj was targetted on social media for supporting the charitable works of former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi during the coronavirus pandemic.

During the 38-minute chat, he said that he also talks to the youngsters because he wants to guide them and stop them from wasting the initial 7 to 8 years of their cricketing career like him.
