Robin Uthappa becomes leading run-scorer in IPL 2014, goes past Glenn Maxwell

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are at 105 for three against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after 12 overs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Robin Uthappa is batting on 48 and Shakib Al Hassan is on 15. Bangalore captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field at the Eden Gardens. Gautam Gambhir (4), Manish Pandey (13) and Yusuf Pathan (22) are the batsmen to have been dismissed.
Yuzvendra Chahal bowled the 10th over. Uthappa put his front-foot forward and lifted one down the ground for a six. He then reverse-swept a full delivery behind backward-point to get a four. Uthappa then swept one from Muttiah Muralitharan in front of Chris Gayle at short fine-leg for another four.
Shakib then whipped one off Abu Nechim through mid-wicket for a four in the 12th over. Uthappa then guided one through third-man for a four. In doing so, Uthappa became the leading run-scorer in IPL 2014. He went past Glenn Maxwell.
