After Dhaval Kulkarni, it was time for rock star of Indian cricket Robin Uthappa to get married. Uthappa in a private ceremony got married to tennis player Sheetal Goutham on Thursday evening. The official announcement was made on Uthappa’s Facebook account last evening. The wedding ceremony took place in a traditional Christian style. Among-st cricketer the only player seen was Irfan Pathan who sported a suit and tie look. Pathan took to Twitter to congratulate the couple Uthappa and Sheethal. “My brother @robbieuthappa wis u a great married life.may u always keep laughing the way u do #robinsheethal. Actress Juhi Chawla, who is also a co-owner at Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR) was also present at the ceremony to wish the newly wedded couple. Also seen with Chawla was KKR CEO Venky Mysore and co-owner Jay Mehta. Earlier,Uthappa has become the first batsman to register over 1,000 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. This is testimony to the Karnataka batsman’s explosive abilities with the bat which have also made him a prominent name in the Indian Premier League (IPL).


The last year or so has been all about Indian cricketers getting married from Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan and Dhaval Kulkarni. Earlier in the day Sharma and Rahane took to FaceTime to interact with Kulkarni on his marriage ceremony with Shradha Kharpude. The couple went for an all Maharashtrian style wedding ceremony.
