Rohit Sharma hammered a 25-ball 41 to get India off to a great start in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) between India and Australia at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Wednesday. Rohit pummeled two fours and three sixes and added 65 with Shikhar Dhawan in only eight overs. Shikhar Dhawan too was batting fluently from Ball One. Rohit’s dismissal came in rather fortuitous fashion for Australia, as he gloved one to Matthew Wade down the leg side from what ought to have been a wide ball bowled by Kane Williamson. Earlier, Aaron Finch, David Warner, Steven Smith, and Glenn Maxwell helped Australia score a challenging 348 for 8. Finch top-scored with his seventh ODI ton when he made 107, while Warner missed out on a hundred of his own as he was dismissed for 93. Steven Smith hammered 51, and Glenn Maxwell thrashed his way to 41 before being dismissed off the final delivery of the 50th over. Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav took seven wickets between them, but also gave away over 140 runs. Live Cricket Blog: India vs Australia 2015-16, 4th ODI at Canberra

Ajinkya Rahane unfortunately injured his right hand while fielding, splitting the webbing on the palm of his hand. Rahane joined umpire Richard Kettleborough in walking off the field while getting injured by a batsman’s shot. The difference was that Rahane was actually trying to stop the ball, and Kettleborough got hit accidentally.
