Rohit Sharma purchases villa worth INR 5 crore at Khandala

Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians (MI) are just two points away from securing their place in the IPL 2016 play offs and will be playing their final group match against Gujarat Lions on Saturday.

On one side where IPL franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) is aiming to earn their spot in Playoffs of IPL 9, skipper Rohit Sharma has splurged purchasing villa at Khandala. This property belongs to residential project called ‘Discovery’ owned by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty. The real estate sources seem to have confirmed this news. The deal has been signed for 5 cr and total area of the bungalow is close to 7,500 sq ft. At the moment, the bungalow is under construction. It’s a 5 BHK villa with a lawn and a swimming pool. This project is spread across 7 acres and has more than 21 bungalows. Every bungalow has a private terrace. The project belongs to S2 realty, which is owned by Suniel, his wife Mana and others, as reported on midday. A source who knew about the deal said, “It is said that the initial demand for the villa was somewhere close to Rs 8 cr, which was brought down to Rs 5 cr post negotiations.” ALSO READ: Dear Rohit Sharma, shine on!

According to sources, Sharma had the option of going for a flat at a higher floor, but he stuck to his current flat, which has a view of the Bandra-Worli Sealink. As for the IPL, MI have still a match to go against Gujarat Lions (GL) to be played at Kanpur on Saturday. Suresh Raina who had skipped his first ever IPL Match will be back for this must-win match.
