India on Monday recalled Rohit Sharma, Karn Sharma, Robin Uthappa, and Kedar Jadhav to their squad for the final two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Sri Lanka.

Rohit made his comeback to the national side after an injury layoff that saw him miss the Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2014 as well as the One-Day International (ODI) series against West Indies and the first three ODIs against Sri Lanka.

Rohit, who scored a half-century in his last match for India, made his comeback to professional cricket in the practice match against Sri Lanka in which he scored a superb 142. Rohit made his ODI debut for India in 2007, but was never a permanent member of the squad till he started opening the innings last year.

Since his move to the top, Rohit has been among India’s top three ODI run scorers alongside Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. However, with Ajinkya Rahane all but coming into his own at the top of the order, there is a chance Rohit might have to shift back down to the middle order.

India squad for last two ODIs versus Sri Lanka:

Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa (wk), Akshar Patel, Karn Shara, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Dhawal Kulkarni, Stuart Binny, Vinay Kumar, Kedar Jadhav.
