Rohit Sharma set to appear for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy after a decade: Report
Rohit going to play for Mumbai inn Ranji Trophy after decade
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is all set to feature for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy practice sessions on Tuesday, which is going to come as a major breakthrough. According to a report, he has informed the team management that he is going to turn up for the practice session for the Ranji Trophy.
Rohit Sharma has continued his training at the MCA-BKC ground in order to prepare for the Champions Trophy. Mumbai is going to make use of a centre-wicket practice for their next Ranji Trophy league, which is to be played against Jammu and Kashmir.
However, Rohit has not given confirmation about his availability and is still having second-thoughts on whether to play the Ranji Trophy league match or not.
“He will be coming for practice sessions with the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team and it is still not decided whether he will be playing the next Ranji Trophy game against J&K. He will inform the MCA in due course,” stated a source in the Mumbai Cricket Association.
Rohit had a series of bad innings in India’s recent tour of Australia, as he scored 3, 9, 10, 3, and 6 runs in three Tests, averaging at 10.93. He then decided to step down from the leadership for the final Test of the series.
