After beating Sri Lanka in the second Test and clinching the series 2-0, the Indian cricket team met former WWE World Heavyweight champion, The Great Khali, in the hotel lobby. Captain Virat Kohli tweeted photo with the WWE star, with a caption stating: “It was Great to meet The Great Khali, what a guy.” However, Rohit Sharma trolled Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, and Kl Rahul – the ones who posed for a photograph with Khali. Rohit shared a collage, boasting of a WWE belt in it. His tweet read: “Well tried fellas, but the belt is here.”

Dalip Singh Rana, famous as Khali to his fans, is reputed for his achievements in the US-based wrestling organisation. Recently, WWE and IPL-based Mumbai Indians have been engaging in pleasantries on Twitter. MI sent their jersey to WWE’s current champion Jinder Mahal, also an Indian-origin wrestler. In return, WWE COO Tcriple H sent a championship belt with MI engraved on it to franchise skipper Rohit.
