India‘s swash-buckling opener Rohit Sharma on Friday underwent a successful thigh surgery in London. Rohit went on to his Twitter, where he posted a picture of himself on the hospital bed, after undergoing the successful surgery on his thigh. The surgery is likely to rule him out for 10-12 weeks, thus virtually ruling him out of the entire England series. However, he is expected to be back for the one-off Test vs Bangaldesh, and the four Test series vs Australian in February 2017. Rohit suffered the injury during the third and final One-Day International (ODI) vs New Zealand at Vishakhapatnam, which India won. Live Cricket Scorecard: India vs England 1st Test at Rajkot
