India‘s opening batsman and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rohit Sharma‘s ex-girlfriend and Bollywood actress Sofia Hayat has shocked the world by announcing that she has become a catholic nun. She is famous for her once posting a nude photo herself on Twitter after Rohit Sharma scored the record-breaking score of 264 against Sri Lanka at the historic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata in 2014. She had also clarified her break-up on Twitter along with Rohit and that she had dated him. She is one of the most recognised face in the Bollywood industry and made headlines during the Indian reality TV show Big Boss 7, where she got Armaan Kohli arrested, reports Scoopwhoop. Although she is yet to make her Bollywood debut with her upcoming film named ‘SIX-X’, but her revelation of being a catholic nun comes as a shocker just prior to her upcoming movie release. She announced her decision to become nun on her Instagram account and named herself Gaia Sofia Mother. She is also reported to have turned vegan, and has few videos on how to make organic deodorant.

Nevertheless, despite all of the shock, it must be noted that Sofia had a disturbed childhood, as she mentioned of getting beaten up and abused by her father, while she was also raped by her uncle, while she was being grown up in the United Kingdom. She revealed that while she was growing up in an old-fashioned Muslim family, her Western lifestyle was highly disapproved in her family.
