Royal Challengers Bangalore bowl Delhi Daredevils out for 95 in IPL 2015

Delhi Daredevils (DD) put up a disappointing performance at home as the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowled them out for 95 in their Indian Premier League (2015) encounter at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Led by Mitchell Starc and Varun Aaron, RCB never allowed DD a zone of comfort and bowled them out for a paltry score. Kedar Jadhav was the only DD batsman who held on and fought when wickets fell and pushed them along the ruins.

DD were in a soup in the first over when Shreyas Iyer was dismissed leg-before by Mitchell Starc. He was unlucky to get out then as the ball was full and angling down the leg-side. Mayank Agarwal and JP Duminy stabilised DD and were looking in decent touch. Agarwal even got a top-edge off Varun Aaron for a six over fine-leg. Aaron bowled with good pace and tried to use bounce to unsettle the batsmen. In the seventh over, he struck twice, dismissing Yuvraj Singh and Angelo Mathews off consecutive deliveries as DD slumped further it was a great exhibition of seam bowling. Yuvraj poked at a fast delivery angling away from him, whereas Mathews was surprised by one that climbed on his body. The run-scoring rate slowed down drastically and Agarwal was left to rebuild the innings with Jadhav. With the pressure piling on, DD kept losing wickets and did not recover from the early jolt. Only Jadhav looked in some sort of form as he played some good shots to keep DD in the game. Once he was the ninth batsman out for 33, DD’s fight was effectively over.
