Chennai Super Kings picked up an early wicket in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 encounter against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. This game is important for Chennai as they eye the spot in the top two. Bangalore are out of the competition but are trying to finish on a good note. In three overs, Bangalore are 16 for one with Vijay Zol and Yogesh Takawale in the centre.

Ashish Nehra came in to bowl the first over and bowled in the right channels. In the first over, he dismissed Rilee Rossouw as one ball moved away from him ever so slightly and knocked the off-stump back. Samuel Badree was then introduced for the second over. After playing out five dot balls, Takawale swept one with power over mid-wicket for a four. In the third over, Zol smashed a six over long-off.

Earlier, Chennai won the toss and chose to bowl first. They made a few changes to the side with Badree and Nehra coming in. Bangalore also made changes, as many as four in number. Chris Gayle was dropped from the side for this match.
