Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals IPL 2015 match abandoned due to rain

The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 Match 29 at Bangalore has been abandoned due to rain after RCB had posted 200 for seven batting first. As a result, both teams share a point each. AB de Villiers starred for RCB with a half-century and Sarfaraz Khan scored an blistering unbeaten 21-ball 47 to propel RCB to a huge score. De Villiers was run out when he was looking good. Dinesh Karthik played an excellent cameo in the middle. Mandeep Singh too played an excellent hand coming in in the middle-order. It was a rare failure for skipper Virat Kohli, who was dismissed for just one run. Chris Gayle was however the first man dismissed for 10 in the first over of the match. Gayle in his brief stay at the crease managed to hit his 500th six of his Twenty20 (T20) career. Southee was the pick of the bowlers for RR as he finished with figures of two for 32. Earlier in the day, RR skiupper Shane Watson had won the toss and elected to bowl first. RR and RCB had made a change each in their teams. RR roped in Southee in place of Chris Morris. RCB got in leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in place of Iqbal Abdulla. The rain pored in as soon as RCB’s innings ended and was relentless. There were chances of a rain-curtailed game, but the rain didn’t stop  at the cut-off time and as a result the match had to be abandoned.
