Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar Friday conveyed her “heartiest congratulations” to Sachin Tendulkar for being the first cricketer in the history of the game to score 100 international centuries.

 

In her congratulatory message, Meira Kumar said: “I congratulate Sachin for this outstanding achievement.”

 

The speaker said that the Indian cricketer “throughout his illustrious career has shown rare combination of mastery, fortitude and dedication towards the game that has enthralled the people across the world”.

 

“For all of us, it is indeed an exceptional achievement which will inspire our youngsters to excel in sports in times to come. I wish him all the best for all his future endeavours towards enriching cricket.” (IANS)
