Sachin Tendulkar a humble personality, says M Karunanidhi

Patting cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief M Karunanidhi on Thursday said he was reading with avid interest the sport icon’s autobiography ‘Playing it My Way’ and praised the iconic sportsperson for his humility. Tendulkar is the highest run-scorer in Tests and One-Dayers.

“Despite his many achievements in cricket, he is a picture of poise, unassuming and fields questions with humility. It would be no exaggeration to say that such qualitites were among reasons that brought him huge fame,” Karunanidhi said in a post on Facebook here on Thursday.

“I am reading with interest his autobiography. I always hold him in esteem… my love for him”, the 90-year old regional leader said.

A lover of cricket, he has witnessed cricket matches despite being a busy political leader.
