Sachin Tendulkar announces contest for fans!

Earlier on Wednesday, Sachin Tendulkar made an announcement a docu-feature being made on his life. The documentary will be made in association with Ravi Bhagchandka and a film production company called 200NotOutFilms, and will be directed by James Erskine — the man who made EMR, The Human Face, and One Night in Turin. According to Komal Nahta, editor and publisher of Film Information, Tendulkar will be the “1st Asian whose life will be captured in a theatrical release”.

Tendulkar has announced on Twitter that he would love to “involve” his fans, and has asked for their suggestions regarding what the name of the docu-feature can be. Finally (this is perhaps the biggest news for the fans) he has announced: “There is something very special in store for the ones who come up with the most ideal title for my movie.”

Tendulkar will thus become the first Asian to join a list of famous personalities like Michael Jackson and Ayrton Senna, whose lives have been captured in docu-features for theatrical releases. 200 Not Out, Founder Ravi Bhagchandka said, “We are very delighted to have IOS Sports & Entertainment on board for the project. It is a very special project for us and we are sure they will add immense value to same with their marketing expertise in sports and entertainment sector.”
