After setting unattainable records in the cricketing world, Sachin Tendulkar has now firmly fixed his eyes on the world of motorsports. Sachin Tendular has purchased a new Formula 1 team that will join the grid immediately this season. Sachin’s new team, called ‘Aai Laa Racing!’, will seen on track from the next race in Shanghai, after Bernie Ecclestone accepted the proposal as a desperate move – agreeing that the move to Sky Sports had made the sport less popular.

The team was originally named SRT Racing (Sachin Ramesh Tendular Racing), but the master batsman later decided otherwise – not wanting to be mistaken as back-markers HRT Racing. When quizzed about the name, Sachin replied with his patent” Aai Laa” which was deemed by the global media as the new name for the team. The master batsman decided to go ahead with it then as he wanted to keep the media happy – learning from the recent experience over the delayed 100th hundred, and as a gesture of peace decided to accept the same.

Sachin will drive one of the Aai Laa Racing! cars himself, while the other one will be driven by Adrian Sutil (specifically in Shanghai), agreeing to a special request from Eric Lux and Lewis Hamilton.

ALR! has tied up with Renault for engine and technical support, after Ferrari F1 refused to assist as Sachin sold his 360 Modena for a Nissan GTR.

Tendulkar had earlier tired to enter motorsports by becoming the brand ambassador for i1 Super Series, which was finally cancelled – but only after three revisions in dates. It is evident that Tendulkar was thinking about nothing else but his record, that he agreed to it in the first place.

We wish Sachin best of luck for all of his endeavours and all of you a Happy April Fool’s day for managing to read this all the way to the end!
