Sachin Tendulkar was seen celebrating the Indian festival of Raksha Bandhan with sister Savita Tendulkar on Saturday. The Master Blaster shared pictures of him getting a Rakhi, or a sacred thread, tied to his wrist by his sister on his official Twitter account as well as on his Facebook page. Tendulkar had earlier wished all his fans on the occasion of the Malayali festival of Onam, and has one of the highest follow count on the two websites among former and current cricketers. Tendulkar was in the news recently for spending time with underprivileged children at an event in Mumbai, which was organised by Aviva India.

However, Virender Sehwag, who is not a part of the Indian squad that is currently in Sri Lanka playing the three Tests series, also shared pictures of his Raksha Bandhan celebration with his sisters. The cricketer spent his childhood in a bungalow in a joint family, with siblings, uncles, aunts and sixteen cousins and from the two snaps that he shared, he is seen celebrating the auspicious festival with two of his sisters who could possibly be his elder sisters– Anju and Manju.
