Sachin Tendulkar, former India batsman who is widely considered to be the finest after Don Bradman, has ventured into another business; this time it it is apparels. He has collaborated with Arvind Fashion Brands, which is a fashion retailer to come up with an apparel brand for men ‘True Blue’. The first branch of the brand will open in Mumbai around two months from now. It is believed to be a multi-crore entrepreneurial venture and the objective is to reach Rs. 200 crores (around 29.884 million US dollars) in a period of around five years. The target group of the brand are men between 28 to 40 years of age. According to a report by, after the first True Blue store is opened in Mumbai, the brand will then open more such outlets in India, expected to be somewhere between 25 and 30. Tendulkar currently is involved in many businesses. He co-owns two restaurants in Mumbai named ‘Tendulkar’s’. He also had two management deals with WorldTel, first in 1995 and then in 2001. Both were for a five years duration. Tendulkar in collaboration also owns Indian Super League Football franchise Kochi ISL. The team is known as Kerala Blasters. Earlier, Tendulkar had praised India’s captain MS Dhoni before ICC World T20 2016, “The biggest asset of Dhoni is his ability to absorb the pressure which has made him a good captain. He has matured over the years. He does not show even when he is tense which is a good sign. Often a captain who is short-tempered or nervous can create panic among ranks which is not the case with Dhoni,”
