Mumbai registered an emphatic victory by an innings and 125 runs over Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy final on Monday, a victory that fetched the team a prize money of Rs. 5 crores.

Sachin Tendulkar, one of the seniors in the side, said that the entire money should go to the junior players who put in a lot of effort in Mumbai’s title win.

Tendulkar felt that the senior players should be gracious enough to gift their ‘share’ to the junior players.
He thanked all for their winning effort and said “Really happy for our team. Thankful to everybody, especially [our] association,” he said, as reported by NDTV

The little master, who scored a century in the tournament following his retirement from ODIs, will have an eye on the upcoming Test series against Australia.

Tendulkar, also praised Mumbai captain Ajit Agarkar who played a crucial role in his side’s win with four wickets in the second innings. “Especially [happy] for Ajit Agarkar. He had a rough season last year but performed really well,” said Tendulkar.
