Sachin Tendulkar and the team of his upcoming biographical documentary âSachin: A Billion Dreamsâ launched the new anthem âSachinâ. During the launch, present were Tendulkar, filmâs music composer AR Rahman, anthemâs singer Sukhwinder Singh, producer Ravi Bhagchandka and director James Erskine. Sukhwinder started the event with a live performance for the assembled audience, whereas the gathered crew of the film shared their experience of making the film and about their research involved. But what stole the limelight was Tendulkar getting nostalgic about his childhood and sharing the memories of how he practised overcoming all the obstacles.
According to indiatimes.com, Sachin was quoted as saying, âIt brings back memories. We didn’t have indoor practice pitches so we used to practice in the rain. It is magnificent and overwhelming reliving my life. I was living by the mantra of looking towards the next match one after another.” Talking about the anthem, the legendary batsmen said, âI remember my mother used to say ‘Sachin… Sachin upar aa jao’ (Sachin, Sachin come up.)”
“We are all pleased that it’s come out so good. Got notes from Sachin and Jamesâ said Rahman, who has composed the music for âSachin: – A Billion Dreamsâ.

Speaking about his film, director Erskine said, “It’s the story of the man who’s a man behind the ground. It’s about the emotion his humbleness and his life. I was aware of Sachin, and this film is an emotional connection with the audience.”
“We tried out around 15 themes for the anthem. It’s a dream journey. The ‘Sachin Sachin’ chant is a tribute to Sachin,” said producer Bhagchandka.
Sachin: Â A Billion Dreams will be releasing on May 26.
