India batsman Virat Kohli met with Sachin Tendulkar in Mumbai on Thursday to iron out a few wrinkles in his game. Kohli had a tough time on the tour to England, where James Anderson and company exploited his weakness outside the off-stump. Kohli struggled through the tour and could only make a fifty in his last game, which was the T20 International. Kohli practiced in Tendulkar’s presence at the Mumbai Cricket Association’s (MCA) indoor nets. Ajinkya Rahane was seen practicing here with Tendulkar this week and even Yuvraj Singh turned up.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Lalchand Rajput said, âVirat was here for an intense session today (Thursday). Sachin was present too. He is going to come in for practice over the next two-three days as well. Since Virat had time, he felt he could come and just stay in touch. He worked on his off-stump game. We will have a better idea about how his form is in a couple of days, though international players donât take time.”
Rajput and Tendulkar helped Kohli play outside the off-stump as he continuously faced such deliveries.
