Sachin Tendulkar meets Prince William, Kate Middleton at Mumbai

Mumbai remained witness of a great moment as Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton in Mumbai. The royal couple arrived in India earlier on Sunday for seven-day tour which includes a visit to Bhutan as well. This is the first time when the couple paid a visit to the country crazy about cricket and made sure they meet the person worshiped for his contribution towards the game. William and Kate have watching and taking part in a cricket match on the cards during this tour and they had a great start to that as they met one of the timeless legends at Oval ground, Mumbai on the same day they arrived. As reported by Business Standard, the British High Commission on Friday revealed, “While in India they will experience the four passions which unite the country – cricket, Bollywood, politics and family.” The report said that both William and Kate, as per their schedule, will be present at Oval Maidan, Mumbai to spectate and be a part of a cricket match between the members of three charity foundations, namely, Magic Bus, Doorstep, and India’s Childline.

Earlier, McGrath was joined by women’s cricket star Ellyse Perry in hosting Prince William and his wife Katherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, at the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday shortly after the royal couple arrived along with their son Prince George. After greeting their thousands of fans at the Opera House, William and Kate were presented with specially commissioned cricket bats, as well as a baby ‘baggy green’ for His Royal Highness Prince George , the report added.
