Sachin Tendulkar got off to a steady start along with Cheteshwar Pujara as India reached the three-figure mark. Tendulkar is batting on 16 while Pujara is on 11. India are on 104 for the loss of two wickets against West Indies on Day One of second Test.

Tendulkar hit two boundaries in an over off Shillingford. He first dispatched a short delivery past point for a boundary and on the last ball of the over he displayed an exquisite drive to send the ball to the cover boundary. The consecutive boundaries sent the spectators cheering and applauding.

The Little Master showed no signs of nervousness as he stroked another cover drive off Shannon Gabriel and the huge screen at the stadium displayed an apt message ‘Class is Permanent’.
