Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid record 20th hundred partnership

Indian middle-order batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid on Tuesday completed their record 20th partnership of 100 runs or more in Test cricket, during the second day of the opening Test against Australia at Melbourne.

Tendulkar and Dravid added 117 runs for the third wicket during India s first innings. Tendulkar fell for 73 to Peter Siddle, while Rahul Dravid remained not out on 68.

Dravid and Tendulkar have together scored 6, 852 runs in 140 innings, with an average of 51.51. For 29 times, they have put up partnerships of 50 runs or more.

Former West Indies cricketers Desmond Haynes and Gordon Greenidge are at the second spot in the list, having scored 6,482 runs in 148 innings at an average of 47.31

At the third spot are Australian cricketers Matthew Hayden and Ricky Ponting, having added 4,765 runs in 76 innings at an average of 67.11
